Gillian D’Ambrosio
London
Artistic background
NB due to the complications and costs of sending overseas since Brexit, I can only send paintings within the UK.Thanks for your understanding.
Gill lived overseas for many years in several countries such as Turkey, France and Sweden, finding inspiration in the art and culture of each of them. Now living between London and Italy her current medium of choice is the challenging one of watercolour. She paints a wide range of subjects from the world around her whether it be nature, architecture or people, enjoying the challenge of depicting a landscape as much as a detailed rusty old door hinge!
She is happy her paintings have been increasingly appreciated in both the national and international watercolour scene. Last year she featured in the Urban Sketchers London 10th Anniversary book and in the Giant Miniature exhibition in Australia. Gillian has represented England at the internationally renowned ‘Fabriano in Acquarello ’ exhibition in Italy for the past 3 years and was selected as one of the top 200 out of 2800 entries for the International Watercolours Masters UK exhibition that was held in May this year. She has taken part in several exhibitions in London and in Italy and her work is held in private collections all over the world.
