Description
I often go to Italy and I love watching the changing light over the sea and there are some magnificent sunsets that inspires one with awe and wonder. I painted this picture on just such an occasion, capturing the sunlight as it was descending below the horizon. The old street lamp that was not yet lit and the circular balcony overlooking the promenade. I used many layers of thin paint to capture the purity of the light to illuminate the picture.
