Description
This three-part series reimagines water lilies through a loose, abstract language of colour and gesture. Inspired by the quiet presence of nenuphars, the works move away from direct representation, instead capturing the shifting rhythms of water, light, and reflection.
Across the three paintings, vibrant hues and fluid brushwork evoke the surface of a pond in constant motion. Small, dispersed forms suggest floating leaves, while layered colour creates depth and a sense of immersion. Each panel stands on its own, yet together they form a continuous visual field, inviting the eye to move between them.
Balancing spontaneity with compositional control, the series reflects an intuitive engagement with nature, where observation gives way to sensation. The result is a contemporary interpretation of a timeless subject, offering a calm yet dynamic presence within a space.
