Postage Stamp Collage
Diana, Princess of Wales, was a member of the British royal family. She was the first wife of Charles III and mother of Princes William and Harry. Her activism and glamour made her an international icon, and earned her enduring popularity. I created this portrait of Diana from 1200 used postage stamps which were originally created as a commemorative set of five individual portraits issued by the Royal Mail in February 1998 a year after her death. In my portrait she is smiling as she was in nearly all her portraits although her smiles often hid the turmoil of her life.
