Description
An original painting of a Daisy, using Brusho powder. This is a highly pigmented watercolour, which produces vibrant colours by sprinkling the powder onto wet paper, spraying water onto dry powder, or mixing it with water to create a traditional liquid watercolour paint.
I have used 300gsm watercolour paper, the size is 16x12 inches or 40.64x30.48cm
I began by lightly drawing the daisy out using a pencil onto the watercolour paper.
Then I wet the round circular part first with a brush and sprinkled 3 shades of colour into the middle.
I sprinkled a little colour on the petals and used a wet brush to spread and cover the petals.
I used the powder as a watercolour and painted round the petals with some stronger colours to emphasise them more.
From a spray bottle filled with 50% water and 50% bleach, I sprayed a little into the corner of the paper and used a brush to dip into this solution, then from the circle outwards I bleached away some colours, effectively taking away some of the colours I painted on earlier to reveal more petals - petals underneath.
I recommend framing with a mount so the painting isn’t touching the glass.
Postage : Royal Mail second class, the art will be placed in a crystal clear sleeve and posted in a hard backed envelope for extra protection.
