Description
If you have a small space to fill, then this small textured acrylic painting of birch trees with it's incorporated 'frame' in warm autumn tones might slot right in.
I live in an area where I am surrounded by these magnificent trees and, for me, they always look their best in autumn - my favourite season - when the foliage turns into a myriad of spectacular colours. They are truly magnificent and it is always a pleasure to paint them.
As well as being beautiful to look at, these trees have a lot of rich symbolism attached to them, notably protection, when birch was used to make babies cradles and rattles and were decorated around front doors due to this historic symbology.
Bet you didn't know that!
This piece is on 6mm plywood and is unframed.
