Postage Stamp Collage
This is the first of a series of canvases depicting Pop Art ladies with retro telephones calling famous artists. Some are humorous; some make a statement concerning the environment or cultural and diverse subjects. Here a young lady enquires why, on this romantic starry night, Vincent Van Gogh seems to have let her down. In keeping with the other pictures in this series this canvas contains approximately 1800 postage stamps with the addition of acrylic paint to complete the picture.
