Moods of Green - Tribute to Fernand Léger Mixed Media

In creating this piece I chose acrylic and approximately 3000 used postage stamps to bring to life the vivacity of pop art. Having enjoyed creating my ‘Tribute to Léger as a colourful interpretation of one of his still life compositions, I decided to try another mirror image using greens as a theme, green being the most restful of colours. I used acrylic paint mixed with sand to give a sharp contrast to the soft colours as well as green paint as an outline rather the usual Pop Art black outlines. The interplay of abstract forms and mosaic textures conjures an energetic tableau, vibrating with enigmatic greens and subtle reds. This artwork encapsulates a collage of moments in vibrant hues, intending to evoke wonder and introspection.
