After obtaining a copy of The Voynich Manuscript, it became an inevitable influence. My montages of insects and flowers and bottles and vases took on a whole new mystical appearance. I had plans for a collection of these artworks, and perhaps get others involved to incorporate them into a book of my own. If only I had the time? I have picked out the best of what I had completed for Artgallery.

This artwork is created on 6 mm plywood, sealed to provide a permanent base. The background is various textures of paper layered to make up the background, then painted the vases and bottles are added using acrylics. The painting is done with brushes, and often I use my fingertips

My fascination is with the imperfect. In a lot of my work you will see the fractured and the broken, still life arrangements of bits and pieces, texture and colour that are worked upon until they are brought into harmony with each another for a complete picture.
