More experimental use of brushes and rags. Here I thought of dusk and possible moonlight, with a dark blue sky and the elements of a transforming birch wood. The slender white trunks are luminous against a haze of fiery red and brown leaves where the brushstrokes and use of rags are bold and expressive, and the rich texture of paint bring energy and depth.

The painting is an impression of chaotic woodland, but I hope the vibrant palette creates a scene of comfort and warmth.
