Another example of my Feng Shui style of painting where objects are placed in a harmonious relation. My fascination is with the not so perfect. In a lot of my work you will see the fractured and the broken, still life arrangements of bits and pieces, texture and colour. I have been wanting to integrate Japanese style foliage for some time, and particularly enjoyed painting the backdrop of teal and pink blossom, where it winds itself across the picture as if to pull everything together.
