Late Summer Fields Watercolours

A colourful impressionist watercolour and acrylic ink painting of summer fields and wildflowers in the fens near Ely, Cambridgeshire.
My daily walks in the Fens allow me to notice and absorb the seasonal changes. This is a balmy summer's day when the cow parsley flowers have turned to seeds, the barley is freshly cut. The afternoon storm clouds are gathering beyond the hedgerows on the skyline.
