A Fishing Boat at Sunset Watercolours

A watercolour painting of a fishing boat at sunset. The size is 19.5x30.5cm.

This is an original painting which has been signed by myself and is unframed. I have painted the fishing boat on 300gsm watercolour paper.

I began by drawing a line in pencil where the horizon was , sketched the mountains and roughly sketched the fishing boat in, adding small details.

I began adding watercolours by trying the sky above the horizon line and round the mountains and dropped in the different colours, which merged and created the different patterns.

I ensured this was dry before painting the mountains in , then dried, then the sea using the same painting techniques as the sky. Finally painting the boat but used fine black liner for the more intricate parts of the boat.

When framing I would suggest having a mount so the art isn’t touching the glass.

Postage : Royal Mail second class, the art will be wrapped in a thick crystal clear sleeve and further posted in a hard backed envelope for extra protection.
