Paintings For Kitchens #2 Acrylic

Acrylics and floral papers on stretched canvas.

A rich and vibrant painting where I tried to encapsulate all that is glorious about the Mediterranean atmosphere. The warm orange backdrop for the lemon tree and various colourful pots. I always produce a set of at least three artworks that I can experiment with, so when my friend got a lemon tree in the summer I sketched these two. The central pot of cerulean blue and pink was my favourite from another artwork, a much bigger piece and is used in these two.
