A Postage Stamp Collage
This picture is based on a plate designed by Clarice Cliff. The 41cm circular design is a tribute to her influence in the mid 20th century. The main features have heavy black outlines following the stamp-artist’s Pop Art style. The picture is composed of approximately 400 used postage stamps. The stamp colours are not altered and post marks are still visible on close observation adding to the ‘provenance’ of the design. This picture was created on quality canvas. It is not framed and should not be displayed in direct sunlight although all canvases are varnished twice and have a coat of U.V. protection. This picture is one of a series of 3 and can be bought separately, or buy all 3 in the series (which are shown in the images below)for £500.
