This painting was inspired by the brightness of the sunlight, the ancient stone archways, and stone steps leading into the Church of England in Malta, combined with the sense of light and welcome that is felt from the sense of the presence of God. It is a semi abstract painting showing detail of an archway and steps, and then a combination of bright colours portraying light giving a welcome invitation. This painting has much texture on the surface and also detail of gold paint defining the archway.
The painting is on a deep edge canvas with the painting continuing around the sides.
