Flying Stork Oil

The stork is flying at speed, its body is stretched out, streamlined, and the wings are upright. I have used bright colours: a very blue sky painted with brush and the bird painted with palette knife to enhance the 3-D effect of the bird.
I like to paint birds, and particularly birds flying as I like to capture the movement. The streaks I have put into the sky and the streaks off the tips of the wings help to give the impression of speed and movement.
I painted this on an ABS plastic panel and put it into two-tone blue and natural wood frame. The painting is 35.5cm x 28cm and the frame is 3cm wide. I will ship this piece in a cardboard box.
