Description
This image was shot in the garden, on a hot lazy June afternoon. This type of steel bodied guitar was first introduced in the USA in the late 20’s . They featured an internal aluminium resonator cone to allow guitarists more volume as they struggled to be heard above the sound of the brass section in the dance bands of the time. The guitars were also adopted by early blues players who played them with a glass bottleneck, or steel slide to give a vibrato effect and emulate the sound of the human voice
