Description
An original watercolour picture on Windsor and Newton Cotman paper 140lbs.
A courtyard scene with an archway, inspired by the Dutch Master, Pieter de Hooch's 1658 picture, The Courtyard Of A House In Delft
With a degree of artistic licence, this image is of a contemporay courtyard and archway outside the public library in Bury St.Edmunds, Suffolk.
The figure represents the UK's current Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rachel Reeves, out for a walk with a small dog...why not?
This is a different, but charming picture.
