View from Langton Caudle, Leicestershire Watercolours

This gouache painting was created from a photograph that I had taken the day before when walking along a section of Leicestershire Round long distance footpath. I was struck by the patchwork of receding distant fields and the elder trees in flower in the foreground.

It is painted using Arteza gouache paints, on beige Stillman and Birn sketchbook paper measuring 25 x 20 cms.

It is framed behind glass in a black frame. The mount aperture has a black edging as can be seen in the photographs. The frame measures approximately 37 x 31 cms (and 2 cms deep).
