Hello there, I'm a professional artist based in the enchanting vicinity of Salisbury, just a stone's throw from the legendary Stonehenge. Forty years ago, if you told me I'd be a professional artist, I wouldn’t have believed you, but life has a funny way of steering us toward our true passions. My artistic journey has taken me across the globe, allowing me to explore and create in diverse corners of the world Teaching and inspiring others along the way. However, a challenging bone condition began to limit my globe-trotting adventures. Yet, it was a blessing in disguise, as it gave me the opportunity to fully embrace my art and creativity. My latest series of paintings is an ode to resilience and the human spirit. Inspired by the words, “Find the strength to overcome obstacles. Find the wisdom to make smart decisions. Find it in your heart to act with compassion. Find the courage to move beyond fears. And, let your dreams, visions, and goals guide you."

I also specialise in painting personalised pet portraits, in watercolour or acrylic on canvas and will capture the personality of your pet with a sprinkle of a little humour
I also sell small illustrations and prints, magnets cards and a children books about a dog called copper, which I have written and illustrated.

Artistic background

My artistic journey began straight out of school, armed with nothing but a Level in Art and dreams bigger than my sketchbook. Graphic design was the first stop on my creative expedition, but soon I realised I was less about pixels and more about paint strokes.
Then came the era of the whimsical children’s lamps – my foray into pottery. My first real taste of bringing joy through art.
In 1998 I ventured into the world, teaching art and marketing seminars to rooms of 200. Traveling wasn’t as glamorous as it sounds. oh, the joys of delayed flights and jet lag! But the wanderlust was real, igniting a passion for people and cultures.
Then an unexpected love affair started as a means to keep the roof over my head. Little did I know, capturing the essence of Fido and Fluffy in watercolour would become my bread, butter. By 2023, the waiting list for these furry muses stretched four months long!
Now, in the grand canvas of 2024, I’m painting a balance between pet portraits and finding my artistic voice. It's a bit like trying to mix the perfect shade of blue – exciting, challenging, and oh-so rewarding.
So, here I am, an artist who’s lived a thousand lives in one. from pottery lamps to pet portraits, each brushstroke on my canvas is a story, a laugh, a memory.
