We are currently on holiday. We will be back soon.

Horses are my main passion and I just love to paint them.

They are notoriously difficult to paint and if you are an equestrian you will want your horse artwork to be be portrayed correctly anatomically - if it isn't it will bug you!

I pride myself on achieving correctness in horse anatomy and it was due to that attainment that I was promoted to Associate of the Society of Equestrian Artists in 2021, so you can be confident in my ability.

Artistic background

I am an Equine Artist and an Associate Member of the Society of Equestrian Artists. I’m also a qualified tutor and hold a City and Guilds level 4 PTLLS teaching qualification.

My interests in art and design were established in childhood. My father’s profession as an architect and my mother’s talent for oil painting were major influences for me. After leaving school, I qualified as a Window Dresser and continued to paint as a hobby, for many years until it eventually became my career.

I have exhibited and sold in various galleries, art shops and exhibitions. I have sold work online overseas as far afield as the US, Australia and Canada. I have sold many works in online auctions. I have also had work re-sold at at a Fine Art and Collectables Auction house. I was invited to do a tutorial for the Society of All Artist's Paint Magazine, November 2021 issue. I offer demos and workshops.

Past exhibitions include:

Society of Equestrian Artists Horse In Art Exhibition 2023 at Tennant's Garden Rooms, Leyburn, Yorkshire. 8th - 28th October 2023.

Quote

Having a passion for horses since childhood, I have a compulsive desire to paint them. I'm inspired by the graceful shapes, colour, light and shade that they create. Owning horses in the past has given me a greater insight and knowledge of their anatomy, conformation and different character types. Having been involved in competition dressage, I understand the importance of engagement, outline and forwardness which gives a horse its character and gracefulness.
